Five Questions with Emma Dornath, Event Specialist:
- How many years have you been with Dubsdread Catering?
I've been with Dubsdread Catering for about a year and a half now! -
What is your college and/or life experience that prepared you for this position?
I graduated from the University of Central Florida's Rosen School of Hospitality Management in May 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Event Management. This along with my past professional experience with weddings and special events in the tourism and sports industries has prepared me for my current position. -
What are your plans for your future career/personal growth?
I plan to grow my career within Dubsdread Catering. It's been an exciting time thus far and being part of our growth as we add our new venue and grow our off-site catering events is something I continue to look forward to. I love the challenge of mastering all areas within our company and can’t wait to see what I get to work on next week, next month, and into the comping years. -
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I love to visit my family in Iowa. Locally, beach trips, watching and attending football games during the Fall, and also relaxing at home is a MUST! -
What do you enjoy most about your position?
I enjoy being with a couple from start to finish of planning their big day. From the initial venue tour all the way through to their wedding day, it's the greatest feeling knowing our team went above and beyond to make everything special and unique for each couple. I also get super excited when I meet clients in person for the first after working with them initially over the phone and email. Sharing hugs and handshakes of greeting and appreciation is an incredible feeling.
