Here Danielle shares her experience and answers to some frequently asked questions:

  1. How long have you been in the industry?
I have been in business for 26 years.

  2. How many weddings do you do annually?
On average, I do about 125 weddings annually.

  3. How many other events do you prepare for per month?
On average, I provide services for six to eight weddings, and then in the prime months of March, April May, October and November, it’s not unusual to have 10 to 12 weddings per month.

  4. What is your favorite part of the wedding process?
There are three parts of the process I enjoy. One, is the initial consultation because it’s the fun dreaming brainstorming session where we discuss ideas and color schemes. Second, is the day the flowers arrive for preparing because I can start to see the design come together. Lastly, is definitely delivery day. There is something so special when you present flowers to the client and they just light up and smile so brightly! That is the greatest reward.

  5. How would you describe your style?
My style is definitely a bit Martha Stewart meets Bohemian Chic, but ultimately the clients chose the design style that best fits them, and their event and I am just as happy creating designs that reflect their desires and style knowing it will enhance their day.

  6. What kind of packages do you offer?
I offer custom pricing to meet any budget. In general, floral investment begins at $1000.00. I created an excel spreadsheet calculator to help clients in their planning and budgeting and am happy to share that for anyone who asks!

  7. How far in advance do you recommend couples book their florist?
I would say anywhere from nine months to a year in advance. It depends on when you get your venue booked, but not long after you know your event locations is the best time to reach out to start the process.

  8. What advice do you give to couples when choosing a florist?
Be sure you have a personal and artistic connection with the designer and trust that they understand your vision. Be sure that your designer will be on hand to delivery your flowers on the big day. It’s so important that the details of the décor items, as well as the bouquet and wedding party flowers, are taken care of by the person who designed them. Sometimes adjustments need to be made and it’s important that the designer can make them to assure your still getting your vision.

  9. What is a pet peeve of yours during the wedding process? (something the couple may not be aware of)
Often people will text me a quick photo or a general question without providing their name or wedding date. It just makes it difficult to figure out who they are or how to best serve them if I don’t know this information. I care about people, client or not, and it’s unsettling to me to have to ask people, “Who is this?”

  10. What sets you apart from other florists?
My business is my passion, and I am personally on hand at every wedding I design to oversee the implementation of the decor, show off the bouquet and best tips for photos of it, pin boutonnieres and corsages quickly and correctly, and bring additional support when needed. I also have added more time slots to my complimentary consultation calendar by incorporating some evening options and even virtual options if that works best for everyone’s schedule.
