How far along were you at your event?
I was 30 weeks along at the baby shower.

What were you most excited about for your baby shower?
I couldn’t wait to see all my friends and family gathered together. My family flew in from Pennsylvania to help celebrate our first baby!

What aspect were you excited to plan the most?
While I’m not a super creative person, all the Pinterest Superhero stuff was just too cute and really made me excited to pull it all together at the shower. (link here? Page?)

How do you feel the planning went?
It went great! I love planning events and parties for clients, so it was fun to do a personal event that allowed me to include my friends input and ideas into the theme, decorations, and games.

What did you find to be more difficult than you expected?
Getting people to RSVP! As an event host and a planner, I always want to know my guest count as that dictates everything from seating to food, as well as materials and needs for games and such.

What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
Making all the diaper cakes! Like I said, I’m don’t consider myself a creative person so I never thought I would have this much fun planning the decorations.

What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
Getting to see a lot of people for the first time since the COVID-19 shutdown. We were still very careful with protocols, but it was a wonderful to finally be together in the same room after so much time apart.

If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
Play more co-ed games! We had some for the girls and some for the guys, but we should have done more co-ed team and girls-vs-boys competitive games.
