ONE YEAR OUT:

How/where did you get engaged? 
We got engaged at Universal Studios Orlando’s Harry Potter World, which is my favorite place in the world. He pretended like he wanted to take a picture and said, “Take a picture of this,” and then turned and got down on one knee.

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
We are excited to bring all of our family and friends together again since we moved away from them when we moved to Orlando.

What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (Ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
For us, it’s all about the food!!!!

A FEW MONTHS OUT / PLANNING PROCESS

How do you feel the planning is going?
I feel like the planning is going great! For me, I have never been more organized than I am right now. 

What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
Honestly the one thing we found to be the most difficult is planning our seating chart. It doesn’t seem like it would be that big of a deal, but getting the numbers, people, and table locations right has been stressful.

What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
What has been the most fun is learning even more about each other as planning our special day has been a series of steps and we’ve been enjoying taking them one at a time together.

WEDDING DAY

What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
The most memorable part of the day was walking down the aisle towards my best friend the love of my life. Everything else was just a bonus.

If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
If I could change anything about our day, it would be to actually get to eat the food! LOL! We were so busy and so focused on our friends and family, we really didn’t take the time to eat.

Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish someone had told you?
The only advice I would give is to not stress about anything because at the end of the day, it is about the two people joining together and sharing their love with their close friends and family.
