Real Weddings: Dana and Dristin

This sweet couple knew they wanted certain elements of their Winter Park Garden Wedding, but needed some help pulling their vision together and executing it. We loved working with them and their hectic travel schedules to build a great vendor team to carry out the plans perfectly!

Dana and her girls got ready at an Air BnB not far from the venue while Dristin and his party were at another property. It was a relaxed and enjoyable setting for them, while we were handling set up at the venue. It was unusually warm and muggy for December, but at least there was no rain! Once the couple was at the venue for their Winter Park Garden Wedding, they chose to do a first look and wedding party photos before their ceremony. Guests arrived and were directed to the ceremony site, which was in front of this large gorgeous oak tree. The rentals and florals really enhanced the garden setting beautifully. We loved the different pops of color used throughout, especially with the Groom wearing a Hunter Green suit. 

After their ceremony, which was performed by a close friend, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in another garden setting. There were games, drinks, a photo station and good times all around while the couple finished up photos around property. The inside of the Azalea Lodge was transformed into a Boho Winter Park Garden Wedding reception dream! We used a mix of long farm tables and round tables with a soft linen on them and French Country Chairs. The decor was simple, but it made a huge impact. The draping and lighting of the room made this feel like a romantic setting. Our favorite detail was the dessert display! It had just about every sweet you could want on it, and was beautifully decorated too. 

With loved ones traveling from near and far, these two truly enjoyed every second of their Winter Park Garden Wedding. We loved seeing them on the dance floor the entire night before they said their goodbyes. Dana & Dristin, a huge thank you for letting us be a part of your very special day. You were such an amazing couple to work with and we can’t wait to follow your journey, XO!
