ONE YEAR OUT:

How/where did you get engaged? 
We got engaged in our living room. He had made plans to propose to me during one of our Spartan races, but I had to work and ended up missing the race, which almost NEVER happens. A week later he couldn’t hold it in anymore and spilled the beans that he wanted to get married. 

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
We are most excited about celebrating with our family, friends, and bringing everyone together for a night of fun and entertainment.

What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
We were mostly excited to book the entertainment. We have special celebrity guests attending the ceremony and reception as well.

A FEW MONTHS OUT

How do you feel the planning is going?
Planning is going very well. We have yet to run into any real bumps in the planning process. 

What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
The most difficult thing we have found during the planning process is finding vendors and products that fit within the budget that we have set.

What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
Planning a wedding was more fun than expected. I don’t think I would enjoy planning someone else’s wedding (Ha ha). But I’ve had fun planning ours. 

WEDDING DAY

What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
It is really tough to pick just a single moment, but if we had to choose, I think it was the moment during the first dance. Our daughter came over to us and joined us for the last portion of the song. 

If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
The only thing that really stood out to us was that our DJ didn’t announce our cake cutting or play our cake cutting song. No one really knew we were cutting the cake until it was done so the entire thing felt rushed.

Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish someone had told you?
It goes by SO FAST so make sure you live in every single moment. Life happens and people will cancel last minute. People will not show up. Things will happen but do your research and trust in your vendors. This is YOUR special day. Not anyone else’s. So, don’t let anything or anyone else ruin your day or stress you out. When you see your significant other for the first time, all the worries just fade away.
