ONE YEAR OUT:
How/where did you get engaged?
Nick proposed on St. Pete Beach during the sunset. We were going for a walk on the beach, and he had a path of rose petals and candles leading to a set-up of a blanket with a nice bottle of champagne, where he got down on one knee! He also had a photographer hiding to capture the whole thing!
What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
We are most excited to spend the day celebrating with all of our closest family and friends!
What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (Ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
We are most excited about planning the reception and coordinating the DJ and photographer!
A FEW MONTHS OUT / PLANNING PROCESS
How do you feel the planning is going?
We feel like planning has been pretty smooth. The Highland Manor venue includes so much that it has made the process pretty easy!
What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
The most difficult has been budgeting! Everything really starts to add up.
What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
I was really expecting the table decor and other decorations to be overwhelming, but it has been pretty fun picking everything out with my wedding planner.
WEDDING DAY
What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
The most memorable part of my day was when my husband and I had a private dance at the end of the night while all the guests were outside getting ready for our grand exit. It was such a special intimate moment.
If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
The only thing I would change would be making an announcement for the dessert because we had so much left behind! Our day was absolutely perfect!
Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish some-one had told you?
Any advice I would give is just to relax and have fun with the planning process. The team at The Highland Manor made my day so seamless that I had nothing to worry about on our wedding day.
