SIX MONTHS OUT FROM WEDDING DAY

How/where did you get engaged?
We For our two-year anniversary, we took a trip to Asheville, North Carolina. I love waterfalls and wanted to show Bobby the many beautiful ones there were in that area. We had reservations for a tour on Friday afternoon, so the Thursday prior we visited five different falls.

Then Friday, Bobby insisted on going to one more that morning because it was a “must-see”. We headed out early to see Catawba Fall, nor realizing that the entire hike was A LOT more challenging and much more popular than we expected. After we saw the fall, we were both so tired and sweaty, so we were headed back to the car when there was one more scenic stop along the trail to a secluded area near a mini waterfall. Once we were alone and hidden from the trail, Bobby proposed.

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
The dancing and the laughter with loved ones!!

What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
The reception and all aspects of the celebration portion of the day.

FOUR MONTHS OUT FROM WEDDING DAY

How do you feel the planning is going?
It's been a little difficult doing everything remotely with limited contact to vendors and not being able to peruse stores for ideas. Most of the planning has been done virtually, but I think it is coming along how we envision it.

What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
Finding the right cake vendor! Apparently, cake is more important to me than I thought.

What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
We really enjoyed putting together our website and photo slides because it takes you back to the beginning and you get to remember and relive all your feelings from when you first met.

WEDDING DAY

What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
Walking down the aisle with the cold winter breeze, all I could see was my teary-eyed fiancé, soon-to-be husband, and everyone else just disappeared.

If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
I wouldn't change anything except we should have booked at least one extra hour, if not more. It just went by way too quickly!

Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish someone had told you?
Make decisions on details as early as possible so you can relax the week of and fully enjoy all parts of your wedding.
