Spotlight on Rachel Doyle Photography

Rachel Doyle, owner of Rachel Doyle Photography, is one of our partner vendors dedicated to making your special day perfect.

Here she shares her experience and most frequently asked questions:

1. How long have you been in the industry?
I have been photographing weddings for more than 12 years and still LOVE them!

2. How many weddings do you do annually?
I photograph approximately 25 to 30 weddings a year.

3. What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
I love so many different parts of the day, but I think the client getting ready is at the top of my list! I love getting to see all of the pretty details, of course the dress, and all of the emotions that go into the anticipation of the day. I also love first looks, father daughter dances, and grand exit send offs!

4. How would you describe your style?
I describe my style as photojournalistic as possible. I like to capture the day as it unfolds but I am happy to assist in posing, timeline management and anything else I can help with.

5. What kind of packages do you offer?
I offer three different collections, all of them are totally customizable. Six hours of coverage is our most basic collection. All of our collections include two photographers and an online gallery of the edited images. You can choose a collection with more hours, an engagement session and an album credit as well – whatever fits your needs and your budget.

6. How far in advance do you recommend couples book their photographer?
It all depends on the couple. I have booked weddings 18 months out and also less than two weeks out! I would say the average is 10 to 12 months and I recommend finding your photographer as soon as you book your venue.

7. What advice do you give to couples when choosing a photographer?
My advice for couples to choose a photographer would be obviously find someone who's style you like – that is most important. But then, also read reviews and ask your venue for recommendations too! Don't be afraid to ask the photographer for full wedding galleries to view so that you can get a better idea of what to expect as they will give you an idea of what the entire day will look like.

8. What is a pet peeve of yours during a wedding?
This is a hard question to answer! I think when family members or friends add to the stress of the day instead of relaxing and enjoying everything. In the end, the little things don't matter and not every concern should be brought up to the bride and or groom. When people forget who and what the day is about, I think that is the hard part! I like to tell my couples to do all of their planning before the wedding and whatever happens on their big day, just relax and enjoy it because the day flies by!

9. What sets you apart from other photographers?
My goal is to provide exceptional customer service leading up to your wedding, on your wedding day and after. I want you to have the easiest best day ever and if I can help in anyway, I will. Wedding days can be stressful for some people and I want to ease that, not ever add to it!
