Meet Your Dedicated Team - Director of Catering, Carissa Llewellyn-Burns

Five Questions With Director of Catering, Carissa Llewellyn-Burns:

1. How many years have you been with Dubsdread Catering?
I have been with Dubsdread Catering for 10 years! I moved here from Pennsylvania in February 2013. I began working at Dubsdread Catering as a Banquet Server and then moved into manager training in the office in the Summer of 2013. I quickly fell in love with the fast-paced life of catering. 

2. What is your college and/or life experience that prepared you for this position?
I studied Communications/Journalism with an emphasis in Electronic Media and minored in Psychology at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Although I moved from one small town to another small college town, I was excited for the move to Orlando and a more sunny and busy life. 

3. What are your plans for your future career/personal growth?
My husband Tyler and I welcomed our son, Connor, in November of 2020. We’re hoping to grow our family even more. We look forward to all the future fun of soccer games, gymnastics, and everything else young kids have to offer. 

4. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love to read, watch Netflix and hang out with my kiddo. Being a toddler mom doesn’t allow for too much “free time” but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. He keeps me on my toes! We also try to stay busy with gymnastics, playgrounds, SeaWorld, and more activities around Central Florida! And of course, I love spending time with my best gal, Roxy aka Dubsdread Catering’s Banquet Operations Ambassador. 

5. What do you enjoy most about your position? 
I would also say that I enjoy working with our staff. They are a fantastic group of people from every walk of life, and I work hard for them to continue to work here and support their own lives and families. They are the best of the best.
