Five Questions With Event Specialist, Peighton Ballant:

1. How many years have you been with Dubsdread Catering?
   I started working with the Dubsdread Catering Team in October of 2018, so just a little over three years now!
   
   
2. What is your college and/or life experience that prepared you for this position?
   In the Fall of 2021, I graduated from the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida with a degree in Event Management. I’m really excited to be done with school and able to focus 100% on my career. Before joining the catering team, I worked at The Tap Room at Dubsdread as a hostess for a little over a year, which really helped me understand the ins and outs of Dubsdread Catering and the difference between a restaurant operation and a catering operation.
   
   
3. What are your plans for your future career/personal growth?
   I want to full immerse myself into learning all the different roles and event needs that only comes from working on the Dubsdread Catering Team on a daily basis. In my personal life, I’m trying to focus more on things that make me happy and am hoping 2022 will be the best year yet!
   
   
4. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
   When I’m not working, I enjoy going to the gym. I love time with my boyfriend and fur-children Dexter and Ellie. I also love to go to the beach whenever possible, and binge watch some trashy reality shows on Netflix with a glass of wine when I want to unwind. 
   
   
5. What do you enjoy most about your position?
   I love that feeling of accomplishment after a long day in the office when you can see all the effort our team has put into planning and coordinating someone’s special day. Being a part of something larger than myself is fun.
