How long have you been in the industry?

I've been shooting weddings for seven years, but I've been behind a camera for more than 20 years.

How many weddings do you do annually? (Can be approx. of course)

I accept about 15 to 20 weddings per year so that I can give my couples the attention they deserve during the planning process.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

That’s a tough choice. I love shooting the photos for a couple’s sunset portrait or the ones of the bride getting dressed when the excitement and adrenaline are high.

How would you describe your style?

I'd describe my style as warm and rich with authentic emotions. I focus on the little moments and the details that tell the story of the day.

What kind of packages do you offer?

I create custom packages to meet my couple's needs. Anything from back yard elopements to a full day of coverage with multiple photographers.

How far in advance do you recommend couples book their photographer?

I recommend booking a photographer as soon as you secure a venue. Typically, eight to 12 months in advance.

What advice do you give to couples when choosing a photographer?

Find someone that has experience but moreover, someone that you click with personality wise. If you don't trust their experience or feel truly comfortable just being around them, then your images will suffer. Photography is an emotional experience, and you have to find the right fit both personally and professionally.

What is a pet peeve of yours during a wedding? (Something the couple may not be aware of)

Ha ha, I have a long list! When the officiant photobombs a first kiss, when guests put their cell phones into the aisle and block my shot of the first kiss, when groomsmen don't empty their pockets before formal photos or when couples don't take into consideration the sunset or daylight savings when they plan their ceremony time. All of these things impact the images.

What sets you apart from other photographers?

I'm the best of both worlds –creative and calm but also detail oriented and super-efficient. I'll be your advocate on your wedding day when Aunt Suzie wants to add her college friends to the photo line up without notice. I'll find alternative ways to make up 30 minutes when hair and makeup are running behind and I want to get you back on schedule for your first look. I'll set the scene to get a calculated shot and then step back and let the emotions of the day fill the moment as the father of the bride sees his little girl for the first time in her gown and the tears start to fall. I'm the biggest cheerleader with detailed shot lists and also the creative problem solver when your bustle breaks. I have a heart for serving couples and a passion for capturing every precious moment along the way.
