ONE YEAR OUT:

How/where did you get engaged? 
We got engaged at Disney California Adventure’s Pixar Pier on February 22,2020. After many trips together, it just became our spot. When we got there, my fiancé made me think he was taking pictures of me, and then all of a sudden a friend of ours put a plush animal in my arms with a Mickey dog tag that read, “Will you marry me?” on the floor. He had placed me in front of it without me realizing it until I picked it up. After reading the dog tag I looked and my fiancé was on his knee and of course, I said yes!

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
What are you most excited about for your wedding day?We are most excited about having our friends and family together to celebrate our love. I am also excited to dance the night away!

What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (Ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
I love anything photography, so I am excited to find the perfect person to capture our big day. The food is the second-best part because who doesn’t love to eat! Everything is really exciting but those my favorite things.

A FEW MONTHS OUT

How do you feel the planning is going?
The planning process is going great! It can be stressful at times, but with the support from friends and family wanting to help, it takes the stress away!

What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
The attention to detail is what I find most difficult. Every time I look at my “to-do” list, I always have something to add, but we know it will be worth it in the end. 

What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
Selecting and coordinating the bridal party gifts. My fiancé and I are always trying to think outside the box when it comes to the details, so we didn’t want cups or something that has been done before. For the groomsmen, we flew to Los Angeles, CA for 48 hours to customize their own Funko Pops! It was so fun! 

WEDDING DAY

What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
The best, most memorable part of the day is definitely a hard question! There were so many amazing moments. My first look with my bridesmaids, the groom and mother of the bride taking a shot together, and just being able to celebrate the best day with all of our friends and family. 

If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
Honestly, we wouldn’t change anything except maybe should have added an extra hour! The whole day felt like it was moving so slow and then when it was time to start the ceremony, everything was kicked into high gear! It’s true when people say the day is over before you know it. 

Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish someone had told you?
The advice we’d give is don’t stress the small stuff. It’s easier said than done, but at the end of the day, you are there to marry the love of your life and that’s what matters the most! We had the best wedding at The Highland Manor. Truly couldn’t have done it without Bonny. I will suggest Dubsdread to everyone!
