ONE YEAR OUT:
How/where did you get engaged?
He proposed at Disney Springs. We were supposed to be taking family Christmas photos, but he surprised me with the proposal. It was perfect because both of our families were there!
What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
We're excited to celebrate and dance with all our closest friends and family!
What aspect are you excited to plan the most? (Ceremony, food & beverages, photographer, DJ)
We're so excited to plan all the reception details including the decor, flowers, and how the food will be set up. The food is important to us because good food makes any occasion better!
A FEW MONTHS OUT / PLANNING PROCESS:
How do you feel the planning is going?
We feel good with where we are at because we really have most everything done. All that is left are just small decorations to decide on.
What have you found to be more difficult than you expected?
Keeping to our budget has been more difficult than I expected.
What has been more fun about the process than you expected?
My favorite part so far was finding my dress.
WEDDING DAY:
What was the best, most memorable part of your big day?
For us it was our ceremony. It was the happiest moment of our lives to finally say, "I do."
If you could change one or two things about your event, what would they be?
Sadly, our cake wasn’t what we were expecting. I am gluten intolerant and the cake we test tasted isn’t what our cake ended up tasting like and we were very disappointed. Otherwise, everything else was perfect and I wouldn't change anything else.
Is there any advice you would give other couples planning their event that you wish some-one had told you?
Have a plan and stay ahead of your schedule. Surround yourself with people who support you and what you want. Lastly and most importantly is don’t be afraid to put your foot down for what you are want. A lot of times you may feel pressured to give up things due to others’ opinions or difficulties, but where there’s a will there’s a way.
