Pro Tip Q&A: What is Your Favorite Moment at a Wedding?

When event planning is underway, our Dubsdread Catering Event Team gets asked for their professional opinions on everything from wedding traditions to flowers, to food. One of the questions our team gets asked is what some of their favorite moments they’ve seen from recent weddings. So, we thought we’d ask our team to share their observations here for your consideration.
Peighton Ballant: Either the fun entrances into the reception, or the toast and speeches from the bridal party and family. Both are always entertaining to watch and listen to.
Christiana Bullard: Dessert! I love the cake cutting ceremony and the anticipation of whether they will be sweet or smash it up. Just a fun part of the event.
Shanna Paris: My favorite moment is the room reveal. As a planner seeing the bride and groom’s reaction to all the things they’ve worked so hard to create for themselves and their guests just gives me so much joy!
Michelle Edmiston: When the couple sees each other for the first time that day, whether it’s a first look or at the ceremony. There is just something about that movement that gives me all the feels.
David Osmola: I think I like the most is when the groom see’s the bride walking into the ceremony for the first time. It is when the real emotions come out and when you see him hold back tears or start to cry, it’s a really special moment.
Carissa Llewellyn-Burns: When the DJ opens the dance floor! I love to dance! And, of course, sing terribly at the top of my lungs!
Kristen Berry: I love the few minutes right after the ceremony when everyone is so happy and full of emotion. It’s such a sweet moment to witness.
