When it comes to planning your wedding, you want it to be a night you and your partner will always remember. Plus, it’s one of the few times that all your closest family and friends gather in one place at one time to celebrate together, so why not make it a night no one will forget?

With a little extra creativity and planning, you can make your day not only memorable for you, but your guests as well. Whether you are looking for something simple yet meaningful to your group, a colorful extravaganza to awe and inspire, or a Disney-themed day, the team at Dubsdread Catering can help you bring your ideas into reality for an unforgettable experience.

  • Customized Playlist: With a variety of ages, and tastes in music, it’s hard sometimes to know how to appeal to all your guests, and you know you want them having a ball on the dance floor! Pro tip: On your invitations, include a section for your guests to write down a song, or two, they would like to hear. Once you have your list from your RSVPs, work with your entertainment to incorporate those songs into the reception. You can even give shout-outs to those who suggested the song or highlight the most requested ones in a fun way. This will ensure that everyone will enjoy the music you play and will make for an unforgettable, and fun to watch, dance party!
  • Specialty Drink: In addition to the traditional beers, wines, and liquors available at the bar, consider including a unique cocktail that is inspired by the two of you. It could be something that the two of you enjoy drinking, or it could be a drink calling back to when you first met, or even just something fun you would like for your guests to try. This could give your guests a good chance to dry a drink they’ve never had and is a fun way to personalize your event even more.
  • Add Activities: When your guests begin arriving to the venue or are enjoying their drinks during the cocktail hour, give them a fun activity to do while they wait. This can be something as simple as a photo booth with props, or you can add in some friendly competition with large jenga or cornhole set. These are also good activities to give your guests something to do if they aren’t dancers, and also makes for some great photo opportunities.
  • Foooood!: There’s no denying it – people love food! Incorporating little snacks throughout your wedding day can make for a fun and unexpected break. Whether it’s sweet and savory snacks while guests are arriving and gathering or a fun sweet s’mores station, chocolate fountain, or even some savory mini BLTs while guests dancing the night away, it’s a great way to get people engaged in the event from start to finish. You can also take it to the next level after the ceremony by putting the guests seating assignments into a delicious cupcake or other small delectable treat that adds another touch of whimsy to your event. However you choose to incorporate food, your guests won’t be disappointed.
  • Polaroids & Disposable Cameras: On the tables during the reception, place a few disposable cameras or polaroid cameras that your guests can use throughout the night. The polaroids will give them immediate memories, and you can develop the disposables a few days after and post them on social media. Your guests will love looking at the pictures they took and remembering all the fun they had. You can also incorporate the polaroid camera into the guest sign in table and have your guests leave a little note.
  • Wedding Favors: As the hours of dancing, eating, and celebrating begin to close, give your guests one more special reminder of the day - something they can always look back on and remember you by. Think about your guest list as a whole and what most of them would enjoy. It can even be something they can use during the wedding, as well as after, such as a blanket if it’s cold, or a shot glass for some drinks, or a towel if you are going to the pool or beach the next day. You can also add your initials and date of the wedding to the favor to make it more personal.

While the planning of your wedding can take time, and yes, be a little stressful, knowing that everyone you love will be together in one place on one day makes it worth it. Working with our team early in the planning process to let us know exactly what you are looking to do and what your budget is to work with, will help you get those special details incorporated make it a night no one will forget.
