About the Mead Botanical Garden Property

The Winter Park Garden Club (WPGC) was founded in 1922 to promote gardening and to beautify the City of Winter Park. In 1940 WPGC furthered their mission of natural resource conservation and civic beautification when they opened to Mead Botanical Garden to the public. 

Conveniently located just outside of downtown Orlando and bordering the City of Winter Park, Mead Botanical Garden offers meandering paths, babbling creeks, and multiple garden options with thousands of flowers making it one of the area’s most idyllic wedding locations.

Hosting Your Event at Mead Botanical Garden

Ceremony, event, and photo opportunities abound at Mead Botanical Garden. The incredible landscaped grounds provide many settings from flowing creeks to tall pine trees. Winding trails, specialty garden nooks, and a sprawling property make this location unique and flexible on space.

Ceremonies from 50 to 175 guests can be held in one of four outdoor garden locations including one of the most naturally beautiful locations in Orlando, the restored Historic Little Amphitheater. Receptions can be held at The Clubhouse/Reception Hall for up to 178 guests. 

Looking for a truly epic outdoor event space that can handle hundreds of guests and still be beautiful? Mead Botanical Garden can accommodate that! The Grove features a full stage area fronted by a large sweeping lawn and a covered Pole Barn that is perfect for 400 to 1,000 guests.  

Room rental is also available for business meetings, cultural events, educational seminars, banquets and retreats, and Dubsdread Catering is happy to provide catering services for all of your food and beverage needs.
